The following projects showcase the collaborative efforts at Studio Poetica. The following research-focused projects span from heritage studies and social well-being in Pretoria to comprehensive waste management proposals.
THE IMAGINARIUM WORKSHOP/
A collaboration with Dr Stephan de Beer: how would one intervene in a vulnerable space which serves vulnerable people to create a resilient and adaptable public place of exchange through the use of incremental projects?
MODERN MONUMENTS/
These images form part of an exhibition hosted at the AZA conference in Pretoria in 2018. This particular exhibition formed part of research conducted by Marianne de Klerk and Johan Swart for the Kingdom of the Netherlands Embassy.
MODERN MONUMENTS PRETORIA/
This paper was written on behalf of Marianne de Klerk. The paper explores 12 young Modern monuments in Pretoria described by background, value, features, influences, threats and strategies, and then analysing the building using Orbasli’s method(2008:37-46).
WASTE MANAGEMENT SUSTAINABLE RESORT/
Completed on behalf of Luxury Frontiers for one of their clients, this research document provides insight into current waste management practices and cycles at the reserve and proposes a thorough closed-loop management plan.
